- Friends see your profile and visits that aren’t private.
- Other users see only your name and profile photo so they can find you and send a friend request.

4. Who we share data with
We don’t sell data. We share it only with providers who help us run Ketchup, and only as much as they need. All of them have a data processing agreement with us or are directly bound by the GDPR.
- Cloud hosting, database and photo storage. App data is stored on servers in the European Union.
- Sign-in: Apple (Sign in with Apple) or Google, if you choose that sign-in method.
- Maps and place search: the app loads map tiles and place addresses from a map provider (Apple Maps on iPhone, Google Maps on Android). The provider can see which map area you are viewing.
- Notification delivery: Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google).
- Error and crash reporting for the app.
- Email for support and service messages.
- Website hosting: Vercel Inc.
We’ll send you the current list of specific providers on request. We may also disclose data to public authorities where the law requires it.
5. Transfers outside the EU
Some providers (such as Apple, Google or Vercel) are based in the United States. We transfer data to them only with GDPR safeguards in place, i.e. under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Deleting your account
Delete your account in the app under Profile → Settings → Delete account, or follow the steps on the Delete your account page. We remove your profile and all your content within 30 days, and from backups within a further 30 days. We keep only what we must by law or to defend legal claims (for example moderation records).
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data and get a copy,
- have inaccurate data corrected,
- have your data erased,
- restrict processing,
- receive your data in a machine-readable format and transfer it elsewhere (portability),
- object to processing based on legitimate interest,
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing before the withdrawal.
Just write to podpora@ketchup-app.cz, ideally from the email linked to your account. We’ll reply within one month.
If you believe we don’t handle your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, uoou.gov.cz, or with the supervisory authority in your country. We’d appreciate it if you contacted us first.
8. Age
Ketchup is for people aged 15 and over. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we will delete it.
9. Security
Communication between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS), access to data is limited to the few people who need it, and passwords are never stored in readable form. If a breach ever put you at risk, we would let you know.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when we add a new feature. We’ll tell you about significant changes in advance in the app or by email. The effective date is always shown at the top.
