Delete your Ketchup account
You can delete your Ketchup account at any time. Along with it, we delete your profile and everything you added to the app.
Delete in the app
- Open Ketchup and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap the gear icon (Settings) in the top right.
- Scroll down and choose Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is deactivated immediately and is no longer visible.
Delete without the app
If you no longer have the app or can’t sign in, email us from the address linked to your account:
Say that you want your account deleted and include the name you use in Ketchup. If you signed in with Apple using a hidden email address, let us know and we’ll verify you another way. We’ll confirm the deletion by email.
What we delete
- your profile: name, email, profile photo and login details,
- all your visits, ratings, texts and photos,
- your comments and reactions on friends’ visits,
- your friends list, friend requests and “Want to try” list,
- device identifiers used for notifications.
We remove everything from our production systems within 30 days of your request, and from backups within a further 30 days.
What we keep and for how long
- Reports and moderation records about content that broke the rules: up to 3 years, as required by the Digital Services Act and to defend legal claims.
- Email conversations with support: up to 3 years after they are closed.
- Server logs (IP address, request time): up to 90 days from when they were created.
Want to delete only some of your data?
You don’t have to delete your account. You can delete individual visits, photos and comments in the app at any time, and change your profile photo and name in Settings. If you want something deleted that you can’t remove in the app, write to podpora@ketchup-app.cz.
